Scores and Standings

I'd like to start by saying a heart-felt congratulations to the Bruins and their fans. This was an awesome series that saw the Bruins play outstanding hockey. Claude Julien deserves to be coach of the year, Phil Kessel is going to do great things, I HATE Milan Lucic (and that is a compliment), and I find myself liking Glen Metropolit despite the black and gold attire. In my opinion, the Habs are lucky to have survived this series. Boston fans ought to be extremely proud of their team, and Habs fans can start collecting the pieces of their shattered relationship with their team (see below). Let's see what the pundits say about the Bruins THIS summer, eh?

Is game 7 of NHL playoffs the most exciting sporting event or what!?!? As bad as the score was, and as bad as the Bruins played, I was more tense watching this game than any of the Pats Superbowls, or Sox world series.

Congrats to the Habs and their fans, but I have to say I am a bit disappointed in the Habs fans at the game last night. Booing the US national anthem while it was being played was absolutely CLASSLESS! I used to think that Canadien fans were the best fans in hockey, but their display last night made me absolutely sick to my stomach.

D-man, you are absolutely right. And that is one more reason I had had it with Montreal after game 6. Booing a national anthem is retarded. I will offer one observation, and that is I also find the chants of "USA! USA!" at games in the States against Canadian teams is jingoistic and ignorant, since most of the players on BOTH teams are probably foreign. It happened in the Tampa Bay series against Calgary, and Tampa had, if memory serves, ONE American, while Calgary had TWO.

And Montreal has at least four players who were born in the US. How does booing the US anthem, or chanting USA help either team? Of course, booing one country's anthem is certainly much more crass than chanting USA USA.

These are the same dicktards who chose to vandalize stores and police cars after the game. They exist in every city, and they all suck. It is a black eye on the team, and I am embarrassed for Montreal because of these ass hats.

Your absolutely right. And who the hell burns cars after winning the first round? Did they forget they still have to win another 3 series?
