Love him, or hate him, is there any doubt that Daniel Briere is one of the best clutch players to turn to in the playoffs? Take a look at his current 2008 playoff statistics: 5 goals (3 ppg), 4 assists (1 ppa), and a +/- 5. 9 points in 5 playoff games! Since March 1, Briere has registered at least 1 point in 18 out of 20 games played, and has registered 26 points! Let's not forget that the Flyers were fighting for a playoff spot all the way until the last day of the season.
He may be a whiny little b*tch, but I'd take him on my team anytime!

Ugh. Derek, the Phbbthblyers can have him. Yeah, he pots a few here and there, but there is no doubt he floats like a Samsonov. He cannot be relied upon to play defensively at all. I am grateful that the Habs didn't get him in the offseason, partly because he would have been stifled under ole herpes-lip Carbonneau, and partly because he's, you know, a little bitch. Count on it: Briere will be on the ice for a major mistake that will cost the Flyers a game. He isn't physical at all, and the playoffs are all about survival of the strongest.
