The Shit hits the Fan

I hereby call a moratorium on posting from Bruins and Habs Fans, at least until we all cool off by Saturday. But I'll say this:
Bob Gainey: Where's Laraque? What the fuck are you thinking, knowing how the Bruins are going to come at Montreal? And as long as Price plays this brand of bullshit dystentery goaltending, Jack Edwards can froth at the mouth and spew his verbal diahrea all he wants, cause the Habs fucking suck, and Bob Gainey is a fucking mental case.

Meh moratorium...

If Laraque were out there tonight, he would have skated around asking to fight, maybe have a throwdown with Thornton and then do nothing the rest of the game or slowly get in the way while being stuck in the defensive zone. Would have (probably) won if not for that stupid puck over the glass penalty crap or Lapierre doing his best imitation of Komisaurus holding a blue line while trying to exit one... That was some lovely old time hockey though. Either way WOO PLAYOFFS!

From a fans pov, this was probably the most entertaining game for both clubs this season. I really hope this is the 1st roung matchup for the playoffs bc I will definitely be going to at least one of these games.

If I were a Habs fan, I gotta say I'd probably be calling for Bob Gainey's head right about now. They have thrown Carey Price into the fire wayyyy to soon and pretty much f'd him all up now. Speaking of goaltending, I don't understand why teh Bruins would give Tim Thomas a 4 year deal when they have Rask is ready to come up (you could probably make the case that he should have been Thomas' backup this year). Its got me scratching my head a little bit bc its almost a guarentee now that the Bruins are not going to be able to keep both David Krecji and Phil Kessel.

Why? There's nothing wrong with Price... It's his second game after coming back from a bad flu and he's just getting his swagger back like before. He played really good last night. Too bad the defense in front of him went back to February suckage (only now we don't have Markov...).

No way Habs were keeping Huet at that money anyway.

I'll weigh in here now that I've had some time to chill. First, I still contend that Price was rushed, and that Gainey should be held accountable for acting like a rabid fan in believing that the kid had some divine right to be the Conn Smythe winner.

The defense does indeed suck. Komi has looked worse every game this season, and it pisses me off. Schneider is the only reliable d-man out there. (This comes from a big Bouillon fan, so I'm looking forward to his blue-line board-crunches when he comes back.)

At least with Laraque out there the Bruins may have been slightly more hesitant to run our guys. As it was, they showed Montreal no respect, because they deserved none. O'Byrne turtled and embarassed himself and all Habs fans. I really don;t understand why gainey brought Laraque into Montreal if it wasn't to be an enforcer. If the guy can't do the job, get someone else. But tehn again, it seems no one (Kovy excepted) does what he is expected to do when Gainey does the signing.

While it was an interesting night, I do need to point out that Shane Hnidy needs a lesson in proper fight etiquette. When a guy has you dead to rights, and then lets you up out of pity, don't start trying to throw punches again. Gorges could have landed several punches right to the back of your head without any effort. He instead let you up and said, "OK kid, we're done here" and you tried fighting a bout that was already over. Hnidy embarassed himself, and so did Jack Edwards when he got a hard-on for Hnidy "rag-dolling" Gorges.
But with Jack Edwards, you kind of expect him not to call the actual game, but to editorialize through a very biased, confused, and incorrect perspective.

In any case, I pray teh Habs don't meet the Bruins in the first round. Julien knows how to beat Montreal.
